Job Summary

​​

Work in an agile environment to develop software and data platforms to evaluate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) air traffic control systems, procedures, facilities, and processes for compliance with FAA safety standards. Collaborate with systems and software engineering teams to develop and review software requirements and designs for website user interface, data reporting utilities, and algorithms to analyze data and safety metrics. Develop prototype software and website and work with team to test prototype features and functions. Opportunities for continued IT education / professional development.

Qualifications

​

• Experience in CSS / HTML and Java or JavaScript required

• Experience with MySQL or SQL database platforms and stored procedures

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a technical leadership role

• Familiarity with jQuery and Hibernate or JPA a plus

​

• Senior: BS and 8 years or MS and 6 years with degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Science, or similar

  • High school degree and 16+ years of software development experience may substitute

• Mid-Level: BS and 5 years or MS 3 years with degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, engineering, Math, Science, or similar

  • High school degree and 10+ years of software development experience may substitute
